Disaster Training

In preparing our volunteers for responding to large scale disasters, we ask that the following free Disaster Preparedness classes be taken prior to deployment:

  • Fulfilling our Mission
  • Mass Care
  • Shelter Operations
  • Shelter Simulation
  • Client Casework
You can see when these classes will be offered by our Chapter by taking a look at our Schedule of Classes below. For more information, please call (805) 687-1331 in Santa Barbara or (805) 928-0778 in Santa Maria.

You can help the victims of thousands of disasters across the country each year by making a financial gift to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, which enables the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to victims of disaster. The American Red Cross honors donor intent. If you wish to designate your donation to a specific disaster please do so at the time of your donation. Make an online donation.
