Water Safety
This course covers Adult, Child and Infant CPR with First Aid.
Students learn how to recognize and care for breathing emergencies,
cardiac emergencies. Also covered is identifying and caring for
life-threatening bleeding, sudden illness and injuries.
Certificates: American Red Cross- Adult, Child, Infant CPR (valid
1year) First Aid (valid 3 years).

Earn your American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification to
teach all levels of
swimming to all ages. This course is a great opportunity to learn
teaching techniques, stroke
development and swimming skills. Students must pass pre-test to
participate.
A prerequisite swim test will be given on the first meeting date.
Students must be able to
demonstrate swimming skills consistent with the stroke performance chart
level 4 by swimming the following strokes:
- Front crawl: 25 yards
- Back crawl: 25 yards
- Breaststroke: 25 yards
- Elementary backstroke: 25 yards
- Sidestroke: 25 yards
- Butterfly: 15 yards
- Maintain position on back for 1 minute in deep water (float or
sculling)
- Tread water for 1 minute.

program is the best place to start. Lifeguarding lets you work as part
of the team to help people safely enjoy the water. Prepare yourself to
work at a pool,
waterpark, or waterfront location with Red Cross certification that is
recognized nationwide. A prerequisite swim test will be given.

This course is ideal for hikers and other outdoor enthusiasts. Course
using a combination of
lecture, skills practice and roll playing to teach the response steps
and treatment of injuries and illness in a delayed help situation.
