Do you enjoy making new friends and having fun? If so, then you need to attend Club Red: Leadership
Retreat 2008! It’s a camp just for high schoolers this October 10-12 at the San Marcos Campgrounds in the Santa Barbara Mountains.
At Club Red, you will be given the opportunity to challenge yourself and develop useful new leadership skills that can help you make positive changes in your community! You will also learn ways to recognize your talents, skills and potential.
Club Red is led by Red Cross staff and Red Cross College Club members who serve as counselors. Counselors
will give you individual guidance in areas like team building, public speaking, risk taking and more.
If you are a high school student with previous leadership experience, you can attend Club Red as a Counselor-in-Training. Counselors-in-Training help plan and lead Club Red programming
with the help of Red Cross staff and college club members. In order to be a Counselor-in-Training, you must complete a formal interview and attend all planning
and training retreats.
The cost per camper is $125 and includes lodging, food and program supplies. Need-based scholarships are available! It is our intention that any high school student who would like to attend should be able to regardless of their financial situation. Camp applications are due September 8, 2008.
