  1. Our New $2.9 Million Facility Opens in Santa Maria
    On June 27, the American Red Cross, Santa Barbara County Chapter celebrated the Grand Opening of our new 11,750 sq. ft. Preparedness and Response Center in Santa Maria and the completeion of our $2.8 million fundraising campaign.

    Rabobank recently made a $10,000 grant to our Chapter.

    Our Chapter's 2008 Annual Volunteer Recognition Banquet was a delightful time for all.
  8. Update: Goleta Partnership for Preparedness
    In February the Partnership achieved a major fundraising goal: the purchase of two Emergency Preparedness American Red Cross Shelter Trailers.

    On Saturday, May 3rd, we held our first annual "Gala in the Gardens."

    our Chapter held an amazing event on March 17th: Red Cross Threads of History: A Santa Barbara County Chapter Retrospective.
  11. Red Cross Training Saves Lives
    A Santa Barbara City College student and hostess at the Fishhouse revives a customer using her Red Cross CPR skills.
  12. Our Chapter Responds in Orcutt and Goleta!
    in January we opened a flood shelter in Goleta and an emergency shelter in Orcutt.
  13. Calling All Teen Leaders!
    If you enjoy making new friends and having fun then attend Club Red: Leadership Retreat 2008 for high schoolers.
  14. Making Your Will: Easy as ABC!
